Sammi Awuku’s Appointment As Director General NLA Excites Grassroot

Following the news of his appointment dated 31st July 2021, Ghanaians have trooped on various social media platforms to congratulate him on his appointment and have shown substantial contentment.

With many enthused about his appointment, they are certain that, he totally deserves it and that, the president knows his capabilities thus his appointment.

Few amongst the many congratulatory messages received the DG is that from the opposition NDCs national communications officer Sammy Gyamfi, who via a Twitter message has wished his ‘brother’ well. In his tweet, he stated “congratulations on your appointment as the DG of NLA my brother @sammiawuku. More grace more wins. For God and country.

Also excited about his appointment is the grassroots of the ruling NPP who have on Twitter congratulated the outgoing national organizer of the party for his new appointment and also thanked the president for having enormous trust in Mr. Awuku for the job.

They believe that he will through his accumulated leadership experience and innovation bring some massive transformations into the state-owned organization which has been in the news for some wrong reasons under the previous administration.

Mr. Awuku whose appointment was announced the director of communications to the office of the president, Mr. Eugene Arhin is expected to resign from his current position as the national organizer for the NPP and resume his office as the director-general of NLA.

Mr. Awuku will serve in the role which was previously occupied Mr. Kofi Osei Ameyaw, who was on March 10th, 2021 directed the president to hand over to the finance director, Mr. Ernest Mortey upon his retirement in the midst of controversies and demands for his dismissal over non-payments of lottery wins.
