Muntaka Mubarak’s Right hand Man Quits NDC; Joins NPP

A staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a devote Muslim, has defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stating that he has come to a realization that it will only take the NPP to develop Zongos in Ghana.

Murtala Mohammed also known as Prince Akuter, in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show stated that in 2016, he campaigned vigorously for the incumbent Member of Parliament for Asawase, Alhaji Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka against the NPP’s candidate, Mr Alidu Seidu.

He however stated that he would put in the same energy for Mr. Alidu Seidu in 2020 and ensure the NPP takes over the seat from the incumbent MP.

Prince Akuter  explained that “In 2016, I know what I did in Asawase so I knew there was no way Alidu could have won Muntaka.”

Adding that “When it comes to all the youth in Kumasi Zongo, I am their leader. You can find out from them. It is only a stranger who would tell you he hasn’t heard of me. For 23 good years I have been organizing football matches for all the Zongo communities…I am one with the youth and I give them maximum respect…

He revealed that he has served as Branch Youth Organizer, Branch Organizer, Branch Chairman, Ward Treasurer and for the NDC.

Before switching camps, Prince Akuter indicated that he was a Constituency Executive member for the NDC at Asawase.  video below…….
