Ghana Premier League teams record 56 cases of coronavirus

Accra Hearts of Oak of Giant Oaks in Ghana recorded the highest number of positive coronavirus cases after conducting the first round of testing before the new season.

36 of the 38 players tested positive, forcing their opening day match against Aduana Stars to be postponed.

16 Premier League clubs have passed the COVID-19 test, and after the initial test, 10 players from Elmina Sharks, who had a friendly match with Phobians, have also been tested.

The number of positive tests will not prevent the start of the league, but the game between Ermina Sharks and Ebusua Dwarf may also be delayed.

All positive tests are self-isolating.

At the same time, the results of the tests performed on the players of Ashantigold and Aduana Stars are still waiting, while Bechem United and Eleven Wonders have not yet tested.

Below is a breakdown of the COVID-19 cases in the GPL:

Hearts of Oak have 34 positive cases

Dreams FC have 6 positive cases

Karela United have 2 positive cases

Legon Cities 1 positive case

Great Olympics 1 positive case

Medeama has 1 case
