Kumarwood actor Michael Afrane said that the government led Akufo-Addo was disappointed with the people of Ashanti.
In an interview with Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii at the NDC manifesto press conference, he said that the people of Ashanti region are disappointed with the NPP because the party has not done much for the region since it came to power.
He claimed that most of the projects in the region were initiated former President John Mahama.
According to the actor, their nuclear power plant government claimed that they had started most of the projects in the area and thus remained in the eyes of Ghanaians.
He added that the ruling party has been doing this to win power. But he said that Asantes is now wiser and will vote against the NPP government in the 2020 election.
“NDC is a gathering of loving supporters. They are not like NPP…When I became a member of NPP, no one cared about me, but NDC has been supporting me in difficult times…” he said.
When asked whether he will still make a Kumarwood movie after he publicly campaigned against the favorite party of the people in the region, Michael Afrani affirmed that.
He said: “If they (NPP supporters) will not buy my movie because I belong to NPP, then NDC supporters will buy it.”
