Mahama Just Cementing His Place For NDC’s 2024 Presidential Slot – Enam Hadzide

The demonstration orchestrated former President John Mahama and some leaders of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been described the Deputy Information Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide as an agenda for John Mahama to be retained as Presidential Candidate for his party in 2024.

According to him, former President Mahama and some of the party leaders are using the series of protests against the declaration of the Presidential results the Electoral Commission (EC) to convince the supporters of the NDC to retain John Mahama and the current NDC executives for the 2024 election with the excuse that the election was rigged.

Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ Morning Show, Pius Enam Hadzide asserted that the demonstrations are also preparing the ground for the comeback of John Dramani Mahama as the 2024 Presidential Candidate for the NDC.

He added that John Mahama has succeeded in winning the support of the supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as this demonstration has pushed him already ahead of any contender in their internal Presidential race for the 2024 general election.

“This is also to push John Dramani Mahama for the 2024 general election because they have convinced their supporters that Mahama won the election, but something happened and so if he says he is coming back, they will understand and support him,” he asserted.

“…John Mahama has already begun his 2024 internal contest. What pains me is that some of the elders in the NDC who couldn’t read in-between the line have been used to do the bidden of John Mahama in the internal politics. They have helped him to win the internal contest to be the NDC Presidential Candidate again in 2024”, he insisted.

He, however, was of the view that some leaders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) know that the NDC didn’t win the Presidential Election; thus, they know nothing positive will come out of the protest, hence, they have withheld their involvement in the protest.
