Mahama Is Not Behaving Like A Former President – Obiri Boahen

Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen is worried about NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama’s choice of words in recent times.

He said his utterances on issues concerning the Nana Addo-led government do not befit someone who has once ruled the country.

“A former President shouldn’t speak this way,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie.

Nana Obiri Boahen was comparing the communication skills between his party and that of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, the NDC are masters in propagating lies and insults to win votes – something he said is appalling and must be condemned.

This comes after Mr. Dramani Mahama described Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu as a “coward and stupid” for identifying him as the infamous ‘Government Official 1’ in the Airbus scandal in his Agyapa corruption and anti-corruption risk assessment report.

Nana Obiri Boahen also said the former President was captured a newspaper for alleging that the NPP is recruiting criminals into the security forces.

“They [NDC] have a weak communication team with lies. That is not our style,” he noted.
