Injured Kwesi Appiah replaced Indian club NorthEast United
Appiah has been injured since December last year and it is unclear when he will be returning to action.
Thus, NorthEast has acquired the services of Jamaican Deshorn Brown as a replacement for the injured Appiah.
Brown was bought from fellow top-flight side Bengaluru FC in January and has made a great start. He has scored three goals in four games.
Appiah was one of NorthEast’s most important players before his injury. He found the net three times in eight appearances.
He joined NorthEast from English side AFC Wimbledon in October 2020.
Former Black Stars trainer Gerrard Nus, who until recently was NorthEast head coach, played an important role in the transfer.
