GPL Preview: Berekum Chelsea vs Asante Kotoko

This weekend, the Golden City Park in Berekum will be the center of attention of most followers of the Ghana Premier League. There is no doubt that the game week will be held in Ghana.

Asante Kotoko heads to the meeting scene to face Berekum Chelsea.

Neither team won after the first game of the season.

Chelsea tied the Legon City with a 1-1 advantage at the Accra Stadium last Saturday, and 24 hours later, Asante Kotoko also played against the Eleven Miracles at the same venue. In a stalemate of 2 goals.

The Porcupine Warriors invested a lot of money, but Maxwell Konadu’s team failed to meet expectations in the first game.

As usual, fans confided their disappointment and frustration on several social media platforms. There is no doubt that the Chelsea game needs improvement.

The home team Chelsea performed well against Lygon City and hope to conduct a visit to Asante Kotoko on this basis.

Bibires has enough firepower to bother Kotoko’s defense, and Kotoko’s defense was as shaken as the “Eleven Wonders” throughout the game.

In the attack, Chelsea boasted the former Ghanaian Premier League goalkeeper Kofi Owusu (Kofi Owusu), the latter is the former WAFU champion of Ghana Black Star B team Stephen Sarfo (Stephen Sarfo).

Captain Stephen Amankona (Stephen Amankona) and the like, combined with the experience of players like Richard Kissi Boateng and Jordan Opoku (Jordan Opoku), should make Coach Hesse Odington is confident in this regard.

The fact that Chelsea have remained unbeaten in the past eight home games against Asante Kotoko is also encouraging. (3 wins and 5 draws).

This is after they lost the first two home league games to Kotoko (1-0 loss in June 2009 and January 2010).

Overall, this will be the 23rd time the two teams face each other.

Kotoko won 8 games, while Chelsea only had 6 games. The rest of the games ended in a tie. In terms of scoring, there is not much difference between the two sides, because Kotoko scored 18 goals more than Chelsea scored them.

For Maxwell Konadu (Maxwell Konadu), this is certainly not the last chance, but another disappointment is that basically the fans will provide reasons for his dismissal.
