Ghanaian winger Kingsley Schindler impresses at right-back for Hannover 96

Kingsley Schindler produced an impressive performance in his adopted right-back position for Hannover 96 over the weekend.

The right-back was one of Hannover’s decent players on the field as they settled for a goalless draw against Erzgebirge Aue in the Germany Bundesliga II.

The German-born has been converted to a full-back this season and is yet to put a foot wrong. Last weekend, he grabbed his first assists for Hannover against Greuther Fürth with a wonderful cross.

Impressed his performance, manager Kenan Kocak selected him for the position again last Saturday and he did not disappoint despite lasting 45 minutes.

He attempted more crosses than any player of the field, which caused problems for the opposition defense. Also, he made two interceptions and won one tackle.

The aforementioned statistics prove his versatility and any manager would be happy to have such a player in his squad.

Schindler has made seven appearances so far this season, with five as a right-back.

The 27-year-old, who was born in Hamburg to Ghanaian parents, has pledged his international future to Ghana and is working hard to get a call-up.
