Galamsey Fight: Burn Galamsey Equipment Allegedly Belonging To Me – John Boadu Charges Operation Halt Team

General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has asked the Operation Halt team to destroy some 10 excavators and a house in Asankragua purported to be his properties which are being used for illegal mining activities a certain young man called Oscar.

He narrated that he recently received calls, messages and videos of a young man who claims to be in Asankragua, stating emphatically that some excavators and a house which is being used to keep the machines for illegal mining activities at Asankragua belonged to him [John Boadu].

“He stood a certain house in Asankragua with a lot of excavators, emphatically saying that those excavators belong to John Boadu and he is using them for Galamsey activities in the area, and also the house belongs to John Boadu and he has rented it out to the Galamseyers,” he narrated.

Debunking the allegation that he is one of the ruling NPP kingpins involved in illegal mining activities, the NPP Chief Scribe has charged the Operation Halt team to trace the excavators and the house in the video which has gone viral on social media purportedly belonging to him and destroy them.

“I have never gotten myself involved in any illegal mining activity [Galamsey] in this country ever in my life. Again, we have laws in this country, and as I have said openly, that even if someone is using my name to do illegal mining, Operation Halt team if you get there, burn every excavator and every other things you find in that house purported to be mine,” he charged.

“They should burn down the machines for the mere fact that my name has been mentioned. My first reaction is to report to the Operation Halt team that they should burn some 10 excavators I have purportedly parked in a certain house in Asankragua belonging to me, including the house itself,” he reiterated.

John Boadu noted that after his open call to Operation Halt II, the owners of the excavators have come to announce their readiness to organize a press conference to set the record straight about the actual owners of the excavators and the house.

“When I gave that signal, those who own the excavators and the house have come out to say that they are going to organize a press conference to set the record straight, but I have told them that if they don’t do it, I will have the young man arrested for tarnishing my name because they cannot sit down unconcerned and allow someone to appropriate their properties in my name,” he noted.
