Faulty Ecg Meters Are Destroying Ghanaian Businesses

The Managing Director of the Ghana Electricity Company Mr. Kwame Agyeman Badu received numerous complaints regarding the installation of new prepaid meters installed officials of the ECG. Residents of the Ledzokuku constituency filed a 28-page report concerning these newly installed meters lamented over how the meters had affected their cold store businesses. Cold store business remained a significant trade for the residents since fishing is the most patronized occupation.

The ministry of mines and energy proposed talks with the ECG working hand in hand to solve the problem of the newly installed meters The Director, speaking to Abrempong News promised the locality in a press conference held at the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly yesterday. Mr. Kwame Agyeman in his words stated the replacement of some twenty-two thousand meters will be supervised the technical outfit of the company to ensure that the faulty meters are replaced with properly functioning ones. The mass action replacement is scheduled to commence on the 2^nd of April 2021.
