Eight young Ghanaian footballers killed in ghastly bus accident

Eight young football players in Ghana died, while the other four were fighting for their life hospital because the driver of the bus carrying the junior team lost control and the vehicle jumped into the Offenso River on Saturday.

Six players died immediately after the accident in the Ashanti area. By Saturday night, the players who were seriously injured were being treated and two more died in the hospital.

The accident happened after the driver lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently crashed into the Offenso River, resulting in the death of the aspiring football player.

When people from near towns rushed to the scene to help, the dead body had been recovered from the river.

The teams participating in the Colts League (Ghana Youth League) start from Afranco, a suburb of Kumasi, but their mission is unclear.

Others say that the team is returning from a football game, and there are reports that they have gone to register players for the upcoming season.

After the accident, four seriously injured athletes are currently receiving treatment at Komfo Anokye Hospital.

The news plunged the entire Football Brotherhood of Ghana into deep condolences, as the death of the young soul shook the followers of the game.

However, the Offinso player encountered their untimely death-there are few details on how the bus was involved in the crash.

The number of children on the bus is unknown.
