Former Ghana FA technical director Francis Oti Akenteng is set to be appointed as the technical director of Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko according to reports.
The experienced gaffer has been contacted the Board to head the club’s technical team as part of the club policy to build a youth team and academy.
Oti Akenteng with his vast experience is expected to provide support and assistance to the technical team headed Maxwell Konadu.
The CAF Technical instructor is unattached following the expiration of his contract with the Ghana FA in March this year.
The 65-year-old has acquired a lot of experience in the domestic league coaching some of the top sides in the Ghana Premier League such as Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Wa All-Stars.
Francis Oti Akenteng appointment is expected to beef up the technical team as they prepare for next season’s league and Africa.
Asante Kotoko recently appointed Nana Yaw Amponsah as the club’s Chief Executive Officer.
