Akufo-Addo ‘Disgraces’ Bawumia at Jubilee House Public Event

Social media users cannot ignore what happened between President Akuffo Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on August 7, 2020.

Some people believe that the president deliberately “ignored” Mr. Bawumia’s handshake, which triggered rumors of misunderstanding between the two.

However, a statement from the party pointed out that this is only “a misfortune of the agreement, because it may not be aware that the president will hold a greeting meeting.”

A video appeared online showing President Akufo-Addo walking past Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who bowed and looked forward to shaking hands.

Since then, social media users have been talking about it, and many people have speculated “bad blood”.

But the correspondent of the ruling party said that this is just a misfortune in the agreement, because the president may not realize that a greeting meeting will be held.

At the time of the incident, 1,350 companies from 10 regions across the country were the first beneficiaries of the President’s business support plan of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government.


Each of the 1,350 beneficiaries will receive continuous training and capacity building, guidance and business consulting services, free accounting services, business networking opportunities and seed funding of GH¢10,000 to GH¢100,000 from the Ministry of Commerce.
