The Ministry of Youth and Sports has notified Black Star coach CK Akonnor to accept a pay cut or forget his salary.

According to Isaac Asiamah, the financial situation of the ministry has been affected the coronavirus, and therefore, the demand for Akonor has reduced wages.

He told Asempa FM that he had informed Akonnor, and Akonnor accepted in principle the release of part of his monthly salary.

Isaac Asiamah (Isaac Asiamah) said that his equipment is waiting for the FA to develop a way to pay Akonnor’s salary.

Nearly nine months later, Arkonor, who took over the position in January, has not received any salary from the ministry.

Isaac Asiamah blamed the situation on Covid-19.

The minister told Asempa: “I have told the coach to accept a salary reduction before the COVID-19 period and then pay him. We cannot give him the full salary in the COVID-19 era. We are waiting for the FA’s response.” FM.

He added: “The coaches have agreed in principle to accept the salary cut in this COVID-19 era, and leave it to the FA to propose a way for us to pay.”

Despite not being paid, Arkonor is still working behind the scenes to ensure that everything will be ready for the team once the game resumes.

He recently announced the appointment of deputy captains with Atletico Madrid midfielders Thomas Partey and Richard Ofori (Richard Ofori).

He is expected to face Egypt’s John Antwi, who is the record for the most goals scored a foreign player in Egyptian football.

Black Star has been accused of playing Algeria and Mali in the friendly match next month.
